RAM memory Bus Speed

Hello, here's my pc:

Intel G41 Express Chipset
Intel Core 2 Duo E7500 2.93ghz (2 cores; 1 primary core; 2 logical cores)
Intel GMA X4500 812mb graphics
RAM 1.98 gb and i don't know how to check the bus speed(saw something like 800Mhz in the bios...is that the bus speed? it said system speed and not anywhere near the RAM)

So um.... I was wondering how i might check it and how i might increase it if it's low cuz i've been thinking for a while and was wondering that maybe my RAM causes the lag in gameplay

you can check using cpu-z, its available at http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/cpu-z.html
once downloaded goto the memory tab and look at the DRAM Frequency and that will tell you. if you have 2 sticks of ram the Frequency will halve what the RAM is capable of and run it in dual channel to get better performance

dont tuch the ram speed. the old intel 775 cpu memory controllers dont do well over 800. i had p35 mb and tried to run 1066 ram in it asll it did was baff all over itself. leave the ram speed as it it to keep your rig stable. your better off having 4 gig or more of ram. if you have two one gig sticks and some open ram slots use crusial meory advisor to read your system and tell you the part number for anther 2g ram kit.

so you suggest getting another 2 gb of ram? cuz i have two slots and one stick that was 2gb so i can get another 2 gb... but will that increase any performance?

yes windows need need a min amount of ram.with more ram you can run more games and aps. if you can get two four g sticks for 8g.
