Hey Guys,

I'm changing my mobo + cpu + ram first time in 6 years.
I have ASUS Striker 2 Extreeme and I had a lot of trouble with RAM for it (BSODing everywhere).

After looking into stuff I've picked up:
i5 4670k
AsRock Extreme4 Z87

And now it's time for RAM.
I've been into http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z87%20Extreme4/?cat=Memory but I don't find the
G.SKILL DDR3 2x4GB 1600MHz CL7 RipjawsX (F3-12800CL7D-8GBXM) there, but in QVL on the Gskill page, there's the AsRock mobo listed: http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-12800cl7d-8gbxm . This is the best RAM (CL and manufacturer wise) in the shop I'm buying in, so it would be great if it would run together.

I know it may be little paranoid, but when I bought my PC 6 years ago for over 2.5k for the box, and had problems with RAM for a long time I need to be sure it'll work like a charm :)

Hello

I am having an issue where the memory will read in channels b1 and b2 but failing and not recognizing in channels a1 and a2. I am not sure if the memory is defective or mobo? Possible setting issues.

I have gskill dual channel DDR 1600 4gb x 2 and an arock extreme 3 z87 mobo

Sounds like the motherboard is defective. Get it replaced and the memory should work in either set of slots.

Thank you
