I seek confirmation from someone more experienced. :)

I have a reference GTX 680 card (no OC with 2gb of memory) and I'm going put in another GTX 680 now. Weird enough I can get my hands on a SOC GTX 680 with 4gb way cheaper than a regular card with 2gb.

Will this SLI setup work? This SOC 4gb card is just going to act like my current, weaker card. Right?
Also, a SLI setup woth two cards of a different brand (Like a ZOTAC 680 and a EVGA 680) have no effect on performance, am I correct?

Thanks in advance!

yes, the 4gb version will only use 2. and the different brands arent a problem.
