Hello, i have a problem with the second dvi port of my brandnew Gigabyte R9 270x.

as i built the graphiccard into my pc, everything worked just fine. two monitors worked at the two dvi ports. but during a windows 7 update the second screen (second dvi port (down)) turned off. now i cannot get the second dvi port running. both displays work with their own cables in the first (upper) dvi port. but none in the second. i tried formatting and installing latest win8.1 64bit but the second dvi port does not respond anymore, even not in bios or before windows starts.

Solution
the card needs to be reset. I forget how to do it on AMD cards because I am an nvidia user, but try reverting your bios settings to "reset bios to optimal settings" or whatever its called in the bios menu. If you have any overclocks, you will need to redo them, but try booting the computer up with the default settings first, as the OC could be whats causing the display malfunction.

thank you for your answer! i resetted the card with "devcon.exe" and also resetted the pc bios. but still no luck. i will try more and let you know. i have not overclocked but changed the cooler profile. i resetted also in afterburner and oc guru 2.

i may have to get the card out of the computer and try all again...

hey, no the dvi port was not defect. i have to use SAME monitors for the two dvi ports - means same resolutions. This told me the Gigabyte support after MANY MANY mails!!

so i have now 2 dvi cables from my both rear monitors connected to the dvi ports and my middle screen with different resolution to the hdmi port.

i also had to change a dvi cable. the old one stopped working from time to time.

after a second reboot the pc recognizes the 3 monitor and still does it!

hope this will last ;)
cheers
