Can i run an Evga GTX 670 FTW edition in sli with an EVGA GTX 670 SC edition? Both are 4gb versions and will be running on an ASUS rampage 4 extreme motherboard.

Looking to pick up another card for cheap to boost my graphics a bit and a 670SC came up from a friend. Can i run them both in sli mode correctly or sill they not work well together at all, as im aware that the 670FTW i currently have in has a 680 PCB. I'm not sure if that matters though, but anyways, the original question is above!

They'll work together, but they'll run at the default clock speed of the slower one. From there you can OC them though

So i could just reset the current OC on my FTW edition then run fresh overclocks this time based on the SC's Clock speeds?

Yes, I believe that's what happens. The faster card would default to the slower card's speeds.
Then using Precision-X for example you could OC both.

Lovely, My friend has said that i can try the card before buying it off him so i suppose it'll be worth getting it in my rig to test! I thought it would be good to ask you guys here and see if it was even possible first as im quite new to SLI and not sure on what configurations work etc. Thanks for the info Adam. :)
