Hello. I have a 6gb PC that has 2 ram card slots so I want to beef it up slightly and get 2 4gb to bump it up to 8GB but I am wondering which one I should get and if they would work on my motherboard. Unfortunately I don't know the model of my motherboard either but I do know I have a Lenovo H430.

These are the two ram i am thinking of getting:

Solution
Well if you are wanting to get two sticks you really should get a kit with 2 matched sticks for best compatibility. As for the links in your post they should work just fine as your PC supports DDR3 so that should be fine.

Newegg has this Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 8GB 2x4gig kit for $56 free shipping http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148719 . And that is for two sticks so it would be cheaper than either of the links you posted for the pair.

According to the web, there are different configurations on that Lenovo H430.
Some have ram at DDR3 1333 and some have it at DDR3 1600.
One thing was, all of them comes with 8GB, how come yours only comes with 6GB?

The best thing to do is, take a look at the ram specs that is currently in your computer and go from there.
Most of the time a fast ram should also work according to the motherboard specs. If you got DDR3 1600 and the board only supports up to
DDR3 1333, the ram should lower itself to match with the board.

If you're getting it, go with 8GB Kits (2x4GB) not single sticks. Between the two, get the Kingston Hyper X

Solution
Yeah, the h430 has 8gb's of Ram installed already, so unless you want to spend 120 dollars on buying 2 x 8gb's sticks, I'd say you are pretty much stuck with what you have. Another option would be to put an actual graphics card in and free up the other 2 gb's of Ram. The radeon 7770 or 7770 ghz edition would work out well, and should work just fine with your Psu assuming you have a 6 pin pci cable.

Get the 1600MHz RAM as it is stronger and will run better than the 1333MHz.
