Hopefully to take advantage of any upcoming Black Friday and holiday sales to build my first HTPC.
Approximate Purchase Date: Next 2 months depending on sales
Budget Range: Would prefer as cheap as possible. Right now thinking around $400
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Streaming media and watching movies
Are you buying a monitor: No
Do you need to buy OS: No (have a spare windows 8 copy lying around, figure it should be good for this)
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: To reduce shipping right now mainly looking at Newegg.ca and Canadacomputers

SLI or Crossfire: No
Your Monitor Resolution: Meant for 40" TV
Additional Comments: Case has to be smaller than 7"

I'm thinking an external Blu ray player might be better than trying to find a slim internal one?
