So Im seeing videos on youtube of PC's with AMD 7870 and FX 6300 running BF4 on ultra at 60+ fps. Now My build is, ASRock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
8GB of Crucial Ballistix Tactical 240-Pin DDR3 RAM
AMD FX 6300 Six Core CPU
Radeon R9-270X 2GB GDDR5 Overclocked edition
I should be able to run similar?

It should, as the 270X is about equal to the 7870.

60 fps average may or may not happen once you crank up anti aliasing. If you need higher anti aliasing, you might want to turn a setting or 2 down.

Long story short, it should, but I can't make any guarantees.

Also, from the CPU benchmarks I've seen, BF4 is GPU bound, meaning that anything with 4+ cores (even the FX 4100 was only ~6 fps shy of an i5 I think) did just fine, at least in the benchmarks I saw which may have been single player only. The 6300 did as well as anything, pretty much, in those cases. Your build is just fine. [strike]Although, if you ever wanted to upgrade just for the sake of MOAR BF4 fps, the limiting factor is the GPU[/strike].

Give it a shot with the fraps FPS overlay to see how it runs! That's the only way to know for sure, although I think you will have no issues.

EDIT: The resolution makes a big difference, what are you running?

EDIT 2: Edited to remove the poor info..

The resolution I will play is 1360 x 768

Wrong - the 270x is a 7870 ghz edition with some small tweaks. it performs almost identically to the ghz edition 7870. It is not a 7870xt tahiti.

Wrong - BF4 is very cpu bound in multiplayer. it's also fully threaded, which means you'll see much better performance from cpus with more cores...

I suspect the videos you're seeing of people playing BF4 in ultra with a 6300 and a 270x are not playing it in a large multiplayer map. bf4 is a machine melter, and while you should get good performance from your machine in smaller multiplayer games i suspect in the 64 person matches you'll struggle on ultra settings in 1080p.

Is it? I'm sorry about that. I guess I'm not as knowledgeable as I thought... I'm really sorry about that, and thanks for correcting me. I think I was mixing up some pre-release speculation with real specs. Oops..

As you can tell, I'm not into the new line of AMD cards, as I'm still on the 7000 series and didn't want to upgrade.

I guess he never said multiplayer, but I guess that's kind of assumed. Sorry for any misinformation on my part. The benchmarks I saw said that most decent CPUs were fairly GPU bound. Maybe they weren't multiplayer. Regardless, it's not like he's going to suffer with a 6300.

Also, at 720p, you're not as GPU bound, as that's pretty low resolution.

EDIT: Yeah sheesh I need to stop spewing information I'm not sure about :( Again I'm sorry about that.
