Greetings, I want to upgrade my GPU but I am not sure which one to get honestly. I've read that higher end ones can bottleneck if a system is too old. I also have concerns regarding comparability with my MB or CPU. Below is my current configuration. My budget is $250!

Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

This is my current system configuration:

Case: Coolermaster HAF 932 Full Tower Gaming Case - Black
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7 975 Processor Extreme Edition (4x 3.33GHz/8MB L3 Cache)
Motherboard: EVGA X58 SLI Classified -- Intel X58 Chipset CrossFire and SLI Supported
Memory: 12 GB [2 GB X6] DDR3-1600 Triple Memory Module - Corsair Dominator
Video Card: nVidia GeForce 560 TI
Power Supply: 850 Watt -- Corsair CMPSU-850TX Power Supply - SLI Ready

I'd prefer to buy from Amazon because I am a Prime member.

Thank you all!

You should be fine with that CPU. The GTX 760 is a good card . Have you thought about the AMD 270x?

Hi Jay, no I haven't thought about the AMD 270x because I don't know anything about it. I am not GPU savvy at all :(

I've updated my original post with more detailed information!

And here is a link for an AMD 270x on amazon. It's $207.47.

Cheaper than the Nvidia GTX 760.
The GTX 760 might be slightly faster or slower depending on the game. Some are more optimized for Nvidia cards and some more so for the AMD.
Both are great cards though. I hope this helps you:)

Oh and both cards are compatible with your PSU, CPU and motherboard

Thanks a lot Jay, I will go with the 760 GTX, I have a question though (which may seem silly to you), does this card require 2 slots or 3?

EDIT: Never mind, I found out, it requires 2 just like the one I have! Sorry!
