I am going to buy buying BF4 and would like to be able to play with decent fps at close to max settings. I currently have this gtx 670 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130787. Ive been reading that the nvidia cards are lacking when it comes to bf4, so I am thinking about selling my current card, and then buying a Radeon 290, or keeping my current card and saving until I have enough money to buy a second 670 to run in SLI. I am not sure what will work better because when comparing the 670 ftw and the 290 the thing that stands out the most, in terms of performance, is the 290's memory is much faster.

This is my current build: http://pcpartpicker.com/user/fatbudda/saved/2MFl

BUDGET: My budget is whatever I can sell my 670 FTW for plus about another $150, unless I wait until black friday, then I can save a little longer and spend less on black friday.

APPROXIMATE PURCHASE DATE: Next few weeks, could wait until Black Friday

USAGE FROM MOST TO LEAST IMPORTANT: Playing BF4, borderlands 2, some movie watching.

PREFERRED WEBSITE(S) FOR PARTS: Newegg, or wherever is cheapest

OVERCLOCKING: Maybe

SLI OR CROSSFIRE: Maybe

MONITOR RESOLUTION: 1920x1080

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS: Basically looking at my options for upgrading my graphics in order to run bf4 on max settings on a 1920x1080 monitor. I also have a second 1080p tv hooked up but I only use one monitor for gaming. If anyone has any other suggestions for what to do, other than buying a 290 or another 670, please throw them at me.

I personally think that getting another 760 is the best option here (in many cases you'll get almost same performance as if you had a GTX TITAN) or, if you can't afford that, get a R9 280X (according to reviews I read, it's well worth it).

A 760 can't be paired with a GTX 670 and alone wouldn't be much (if any) upgrade to your 670 FTW--it's the same card just tweaked. An R9 280 or a GTX 770 would both be an upgrade on performance.

Or . . . building on what Jellai said check ebay for another GTX 670 and sli them. That would give you huge performance.

If you're able to exercise a little patience, then I would say, yes, wait for black Friday with all the big sales . . . also, given the performance of this new generation of AMD cards, there may be a further price drop on NVidia cards.

You just might be able to afford an R9 290. Good luck!
