Hello everyone! So I am finally doing my own PC build. As such, I would like to know what you all think of the parts I plan to purchase.
I've done research, and as far as I can tell, everything plays nice together, however, this being my first time, I am not 100% sure that I am not over looking something critical.
Approximate Purchase Date: 1-2 weeks
Budget Range: $1800 (currently, the build sits at $1814)
System Usage from Most to Least Important: Games > Other
Are you buying a monitor: No -- currently using 20'' acer 1600 x 900 (if I recall correctly, posting from another pc)
OS: Windows 8.1
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: newegg.com
Overclocking: Yes
SLI or Crossfire: Yes -- plan to in the future.
Parts listing:

HDD: Western Digital WD Black WD1002FAEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
RAM: G.SKILL Trident X Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2400 (PC3 19200) Desktop Memory Model F3-2400C10D-16GTX
CD/DVD Drive: LG Black 14X BD-R 2X BD-RE 16X DVD+R 5X DVD-RAM 12X BD-ROM 4MB Cache SATA BDXL Blu-ray Burner, Bare Drive, 3D Play Back (WH14NS40) - OEM
Cooler: CORSAIR Hydro Series H90 High Performance Water/Liquid CPU Cooler. 140mm
I picked the NXZT case since it appears from reviewing to be pretty quiet and cool well--I also like how it looks!
I did NOT pick the NZXT cooler because I heard it's somewhat loud, and from reviews, the corsair tends to cool just as well and be quieter. Since the NZXT case has a rear 140mm, far as I can tell, it will support the corsair cooler.
As for the SSD, while I would like to grab a 256 GB, I could not seem to fit it into my budget and still get the other components I wanted. Therefore, I plan to mainly mount the OS, Office, etc on it. And use the 1 TB drive for games, media, and so on.
I picked the motherboard based on wanting something a little bit higher end, but also to have WiFi. While a wired connection would be great, it is not currently possible where I live.
One concern I have is if the RAM height will get in the way of the tubing for the cooler, not sure how I would go about finding out if it will.
That about sums it up! Thank you all for any feedback.
