I've been using a Dell laptop for the past three years, and I'm looking to build myself a Desktop for gaming - Nothing too special though - I've never built a computer before so understandably I'm more than a bit curious to know if the following components will work together in the computer.
These are the following components.

Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor.
Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler.
MSI Z87-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard.
Seagate Constellation ES.3 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive.
MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB Video Card.
Corsair 200R ATX Mid Tower Case.
Corsair Enthusiast 650W 80 PLUS Bronze Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply.
Samsung SN-208BB DVD/CD Writer.
Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory.

If any incompatibilities with those arise, what are good alternatives? My budget for the entire build is in the 650 - 800 quid range.

Thanks.

yeah that build will work great but you can get MUCH better fps in games be going cheaper on your cpu and going the amd route and then putting that money to a better gpu.

here is a better build:
cpu:AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz
motherboard:GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3
gpu: GTX 770
keep everything else the same the prices will be about the same as your build but you will get better fps going the amd route so we can put more money into the gpu.

an 8350 is only 20 or 30 dollars cheaper. it's not as good either.

-uses more electricty
-requires higher clockspeeds in order to be pretty much equal in multithreaded performance
-considerably worse performance in programs that only use up to 4 threads, which is most
