My JBOD array has lost most of its data after restarting my PC.

Some data on the array is still accessible. The data that's still accessible was recently copied and pasted to the array just prior to the data that was copied and pasted and then lost after the restart.

My setup consists of a RocketRaid 622 pci card and a Sans Digital 4 bay enclosure.

The other variable to my setup is that the entire array is encrypted with Truecrypt software. Just before I restarted the PC I manually dismounted the array through the truecrypt interface.

Anyone with a solution that would help me recover the lost date would be greatly appreciate it.

Thanks

i once had a JBOD while in Linux. lost 1.1TB of data. after a few weeks of various recovery attempts (myself and friends), my best solution was to trash the drives, call the data lost, and get on with life. much of it was media which i was able to re-acquire, but i had to accept the permanent loss of docs and photographs.

i have avoided JBOD like the plague since then.

Thanks for following up on my post, I mistakenly Identified a different volume in TrueCrypt as the JBOD volume, no data lost after all. To your point about JBOD though I have an offline 4TB external drive backing it all up now.
