Thought I'd ask everyone for their opinion on whether or not it's worth it to upgrade my CPU (which also means upgrading mobo and ram) in addition to upgrading my GPU.
My current specs are:
AMD Athlon II X4 645
8GB DDR2 800
240GB SSD + 1TB HDD
Nvidia GeForce GTX 560 Ti 448
Zephyr 750W PSU
I mainly use my desktop for gaming (on a 24 inch dell monitor at 1920x1200). I've started to notice that I can no longer really max out games at this resolution and at the detail that I want so I'm planning on upgrading my video card during Black Friday
...now I'm wondering if it's worth putting money into the rest of the rig? I know the quad core I have is quite dated but am really questioning the performance obtained upgrading everything vs just upgrading the GPU is really worth the extra money (and the hassle of trying to sell my old hardware).
