I started my computer and my Operating system, WIN7, has vanished.

I'm able to use the Lenovo black button to use the Lenovo Solution center to open Chrome. My main screen after I close everything is just black. There's no icons, no background, no taskbar, no ability to open my documents or any files. Even with the Windows key. I've lost control of my speaker volume. The only way to log off is to close my laptop.

Ctr+Alt+Del. Start task manager. Look for explorer.exe under Processes and right click it, then "End process three". Then go to File -> New Task(run...). Type in "explorer.exe" without the " ".

Else try a hard restart - hold the power button for 4 secs.

I tried that, but I can't open task manager our anything at all. period. and the hard restart was the first thing I tried. Thank you.
