Hey guys, I built a new computer and Its having problems. 1, if I don't turn off the power supply it will power up on its own 1-3 hours later ( never shuts off when its on).
2, every time I start up it asks if I want to start windows normally or do startup repair (I always shut it off properly). whatever I click, it starts loading then goes back to the same screen and asks me again. I usually have to repeat around 5 times before it starts.

These are my computer specs.
MOBO: Asus p8z77-v pro
GPU: Nvidia GTX 680 4gb
CPU: i7 3770
HDD: western digital black 1tb
RAM: 16gb Gskill sniper
PSU: Rosewill lightning 1200w
CASE: Cooler Master HAF 932
OS: windows 7 64bit pro

I've read lots on this and I know if the BIOS settings have wake on LAN enabled it will start up on its own. I have all the wake on settings disabled in my bios. and it still does it. Ive reset the cmos, didn't change. I don't think its as power switch problem since it doesn't shut off on its own.
Also a friend told me the Cooler master haf932 case has a problem with shorting and can damage your motherboard. could this be it? I just reassembled my computer and cleaned it right out with no luck.
Any input or troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much.

Hi, What I would try: updating the BIOS, reinstalling Windows (no other drivers or applications) and testing. If still the same, I would RMA the board.
If issue fixed, then reinstall drivers and applications and test after each installation.

Hi alexoiu, thanks for your response, I'm still having one issue but one is fixed, I read on a thread related to mine about the powering on its own and it said to enable erp ready in the bios. (simple and nothing I would think of on my own but it worked). But i'm still having the problem when I start up that it goes back to the "launch windows normally/ startup repair screen" repedetively about 5 times or so before it actually starts (the windows logo shows up as if its about to load then the screen flashes and it repeats). I've tried reinstalling widows 7 twice, ive tried system restore to the earliest point but my points don't go as far back as the problem and don't work. when I just let it continue to scan for startup errors it says startup repair cant repair it automatically. in details it says ProblemEventName: Startup repair offline. I have no idea what could cause this problem. Ive tried everything I could think of and cant find anything about it online. Any other input would be very much appreciated. thanks again

Try setting SATA to IDE in BIOS and see if still the same.

No, unfortunately it didn't fix the problem. It does the same thing, should I switch back to ahci if I'm running sata 6gbs? It seems to be the same but is ahci faster?

With HDDs, not too many advantages if AHCI. Not sure what's wrong. What I would try is disabling UEFI in BIOS/Boot Menu/UEFI/Legacy Boot.
