So i just made a fresh new build not so long ago. Im gona use a pc to pc transfer cable to move my music on to my build from my laptop. however my laptop has several viruses that i really didnt try to get rid of because most of my parts came in and i started to make my build.

so i was wondering if i connect my laptop to my build with the transfer cable will the viruses automatically make its way to my build and infect it.
I am just moving over music and some minor things.

both run on windows 7 home premium

well the virus is probably infected in your program files from an .exe file you installed to your computer and i never heard of a virus over music files so you should be good to go just don't copy over files that are actual programs or else you might get a virus.also get an anti virus software to be safe like Avast: http://www.avast.com/en-us/index

Don't try to transfer those files. Even if they may seem harmless, there is always a chance for a virus to transfer over to your other build. I wouldn't risk it. If you have an account or something you downloaded the music off of, that should work. If it's just pirated, do the same that you did before.
