Hello,
I just got a second Gigabyte Radeon HD7870 Ghz edition (OC to 1100mhz) and added it to my computer. I was so excited to boot up what I thought would be an awesome gaming computer and found that the FPS did not improve at all in games like Battlefield 4, Sniper Elite, Dirt 3, anything.
Crossfire is enabled in CCC (version below), I have the molex power going into the motherboard for crossfire, and the bridge is on the cards. I am getting plenty of power because I just went out and bought a nice PSU for them. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated, below are my specs:
Processor: Core i5 3350p (Ivy Bridge)
Graphics cards: Both are Gigabyte Radeon HD 7870 Ghz edition, come Overclocked to 1100mhz
Motherboard: ASRock Extreme6 Z77 (1155 socket), has crossfire functionality, pcie 3.0, the works
Power Supply: Brand new Corsair RM650 Gold
RAM: 16gb 1333 (not the best RAM, but that can't be the problem, right?)
SSD: Kingston HyperX (this is the hard drive that has BF4 on it)
HDD: WD 500GB
CCC Version: 13.9
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
Monitor: LG 24EN33 LED, 1920x1080
Again any help is appreciated, thanks for taking the time to look at this for me
So after some support from the community, I have been informed that there is a beta driver for Radeon 7800 series that has a BF4 crossfiring profile. However, every attempt to install this driver has resulted in a blue screen of death.
