I recently purchased "MyDigitalSSD BP4 50mm SATA III (6G) mSATA Solid State Drive" with the USB 3.0 link for my laptop from Amazon. I'm thinking of using it for games only, but i don't know how to start using it. I've read this tread (http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/281789-32-install-game-only) and tried what saint19 said:

"1) Right click in my computer
2) Properties
3) Manage
4) Disk management
5) Your SSD should be there with a black color and without format, just do right click, select format and start."

I don't see my SSD in black color and there is no option to format it. Moreover, the ssd shows in my My Computer as faded color Removable Disk (H: ) and when I tried to right click > Format it, it said "There is no disk in drive (H: ), Please insert Disk and try again." When I double click on it, it said Please insert a disk into Removable Disk (H: ).

Is there something wrong with my SSD? If not, How do I start using it?

Ya its been awhile since I used a external but its going to be called a removeable disk I belive start your pc up and dont have the drive hooked up .Go into my computer into the disk drives may account what you have there example a c d f ect ect..

Then hook your new drive up windows will find it then go into your computer and find the new letter for your drive example H then right click propertys and format it then your ready to go simple as that.
