Howdy Fellas!
Can This PSU run this system I'm assembling for my Brother?

Processor: AMD Athlon II X4 640
RAM: 8gbx2 Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600 (Blue)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-970A-DS3
Graphics Card: EVGA GTX550ti FPB
HDD: 1tb Seagate Barracuda 7200RPM
Case: NZXT Source 210 w/ Window
Case Fans Installed: 3 (2 Corsair SP120 in Front and 1 Included NZXT Rear Fan)
PSU: Corsair VS450

I've already used some of the parts like the Motherboard, Processor, and the Graphics Card.

Well, The reason why me and my brother got stucked in the VS450 is because my brother almost spend his budget on the RAM and the Case Fan (Both are from corsair and both are expensive for me.)

My Brother is Planning to Add more Fans, LED Strips and Watercooling like the H80i, H100i, H110 or the Nzxt Kraken x60 in the Future.

What do you think guys? Will it work without any problems?

Well if you're changing to an Intel CPU , then of course you would have to buy a new motherboard. but if you don't wanna, then you should be fine. The FX-6300 would be a good choice.

And for the GPU , Checkout the HD 7790 or HD 7870 . They come with free games.

A good cheap 80+ certified PSU would be the corsair CX430. But the best would be to get the Seasonic S12 II 520 watt

don't you feel that performance is more important than the looks ? your CPU and GPU aren't very good.

The GTX 550 ti requires 24 amps on the 12v rail and at least a 400 watt PSU.

The Corsair VS450 gives 32 amps on the 12v rail and its max output is 450 watts

So the VS450 is enough. But it's not efficient. 80+ certified Power Supplies are more efficient , so they would most probably decrease your monthly electrical bills.

You really don't need a water-cooling system. Don't buy all the fans and fancy lights , buy a new CPU and GPU.

Thank You Very Much Man, this rig is for my brother, and I'm just helping him assemble it. maybe we will first buy an 80+ 500w psu (maybe the Seasonic), then upgrade the GPU then the CPU later. Last Question man, If we upgrade to 6300, is that mean we can oveclock it? if yes, can the Motherboard handle it?

But we don't have the PSU yet. Another thing when we are about to buy the seasonic m12ii 520, we saw another PSU from FSP, its the FSP Aurum 550w 80+ Gold. Is it worth the buying? the price difference is not really that far, so what do you think man?

Well not really, the oly thing i mention the FSP Aurum PSu is that it is 80+ gold, and you said that 80+ PSUs are more effcient. So what PSU are you recommending for my build? and that PSU can handle 7850 wih no problems.
