Should I get better CPU or GPU ? Details inside

Hi guys, long time lurker, first time poster here.

I'm planning to build a new pc for christmas.

Budget: 750€ / 900-1000$

CPU:
Intel® Core™ i5-4570 Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.60 GHz) Box
GPU:
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 2GB OC WINDFORCE 3X
MOTHERBOARD:
ASRock Z87 Pro4 / Intel® Z87 / Socket 1150 / ATX
HDD:
Toshiba DT01ACA100 3.5" 1TB 7200rpm 32MB SATAIII
RAM:
2x Kingston DDR3 HyperX Black 4GB 1600MHz CL9
CASE:
Zalman Z3 Plus ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
PSU:
Corsair VS Series™ VS650 - 650 Watt Power Supply
CPU COOLER:
Arctic Freezer 13

System above seemed like a decent enough for me.

Recently I found out that I might get another 150€/200$ for building this pc so I was thinking if I should get better CPU or GPU

CPU I would get:
Intel® Core™ i7-4770K Processor (8M Cache, up to 3.90 GHz)
Its on sale atm and it would fit the budget.

GPU I would get:
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 3GB OC WINDFORCE 3X
Is also on sale atm and it would fit the budget.

this PC would be mostly for gaming. BF4, GW2, and tons of other FPS and MMO's

Hope someone can help me. Thanks.
PS: I think getting GTX 780 might require me to get better PSU so it MIGHT break the budget

  1. How about the i5-4670k? You won't need more than that for gaming and plus you can overclock it later.

You could also wait for the aftermarket cooler R9-290, hopefully with the noise problems solved and Mantle to increase performance.

The 780 only needs a 500w PSU so your current one will be fine.

    So i5-4670k and GTX 780?

It is a real waste to get a Z87 board made for overclocking AND an aftermarket cooler, and not at least get a i5-4670k.

If you want to buy now the 780 is a good deal, but what none of us know is how good Mantle is and how much better BF4 will be with a R9-290(x).

There are also rumours of a new 780 Ghz edition http://www.techpowerup.com/193937/geforce-gtx-780-ghz-edition-no-unicorn-a-gigabyte-sku.html, this will make the 780 drop in price again I am sure.

Really my best advice is to wait a little while for the market to settle down and all these cards to come out, for the games you want to play a non-reference R9-290 will be the best fit.
