Hi everyone,

I'm making a new basic build in which i will install a linux OS,i have to stay within 200€ (260$) budget.
I'd like some confirm about the compatibility of the components (i've already checked it but i'd like a confirm just to be sure).
This is the config:
-CPU: Intel Celeron G1620
-Mobo: ASUS P8H61-MX R2.0
-RAM: RAM DDR3 Kingston Blu 4GB PC3-12800 1600MHz CL9
-PSU: MS-Tech MS-N550-VAL 550W
-HDD: Toshiba DT01ACA 500GB

mmm yup,that's pretty much it.
So the questions are:
-Will this build work?
-Will i be able to use the onboard vga? (First experience with it so..just checking)

Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot! Didn't know about that website!

So...the website told me that IvyBridge CPU could have some problems on that board so i changed the CPU to a G550.

Now that i've noticed another thing:
The case i'm using have a 9.6"x9.6" motherboard (uATX).
The motherboard i'm buying is 9.6"x7.2"(uATX too)

The question is:usually if a case work with 9.6"x9.6" motherboard, will it work also with 9.6"x7.2"?

Thanks again.

Most cases that support large boards also have the studs for the smaller boards as well. You'd have to mention the case model type and maker, or just look inside your case to see if there are studs for the board of that size.

It-s a case for an OEM pc,Acer extensa e264,the exact model is not written.
Anyway i just saw the motherboard layout on youtube and, given the size,it should fit fine (unless they differ for 2mm :sarcastic:).The case has 2 studs in the end,one for 9.6 and one for smaller ones like you said.

Thanks again!
