i build my pc 5 days ago, and when booting for the first time by Pressing Delete or F2 it didn't let me enter the bios( just black screen), so i thought that i might have bent socket pins .. but after trying again and again, i finally entered the bios and installed windows .. i thought the problem solved..but it still there..
. Every time I press on any of the Function Keys during the POST it will HANG, showing only a black screen . In other words I cannot access the BIOS Setup for some Unknown Reasons. I can log on to Windows, I can browse the Net & Play Games. It's just the BIOS setup that needs attention.

my motherboard is Gigabyte H61M-S2p

another problem..when windows boots up..the keyboard and the mouse hangs ..so i have to restart windows every time in order to fix it

any ideas please?

The black screen has nothing to do with bios version or monitor resolution. It's the motherboard that is not posting. Normally you would hassle with it if the MB is out of warranty. But if it's a new board, take it to warranty, let them fix it. You paid for a new and working product and you should not face these issues with a new product.

thanks for your help, i guess you are right..if it's a new MOBO then i have to take it to warranty and let them fix it.. but i was asking just to know where could be the specific problem from .. I'm interested to find the problem by myself
