Ok, so I built my own computer approximately 3 years ago. It was top of the line at the time, and I've made a few upgrades to the computer over the years, but it still has the same Motherboard, RAM, and PSU in it. Over the past 9 months however I've been getting a strange crashing problem that has been getting worse over time.

Basically what happens is the monitors will go completely black, but the computer will continue to run (yes I've checked all the connections). Rebooting the computer typically won't do anything to fix it, it won't even load into BIoS. The way I eventually got it to work again was re-seating the RAM. Since then I've tested all the sticks and can't find anything wrong with any of them, but that was my main solution to the problem whenever it would happen (about once or twice every two months on average).

About 2 months ago however, it got worse, crashing about every week or so and often re-seating the RAM wouldn't fix the problem as before, eventually I got it working again by disconnecting the hard drive after re-Seating the RAM, booting it up, shutting it down when it realized it didn't have a disk with an OS, Reconnecting the drive, and finally booting it up again.

Now today, it's happened about 3-4 times and I can't figure out what's going on, so I'm getting desperate enough to seek outside help. I've looked several different places since the problem started to see if anyone else has even had a similar problem and couldn't find anything, and since it's gotten even worse I pretty much lost hope in finding some simple fix.

Here's what I'm running at the moment:
Motherboard: ASUS SABERTOOTH 990FX
CPU: AMD FX 6100 6-Core Processor
RAM: MUSHKIN Enhanced Silverline 16GB (2 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM
GPU: Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7850 2 GB
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Black 1 TB SATA III 7200 RPM 64
PSU: Corsair HX 750W
OS: Windows 7 64-bit

Looking at Event Viewer, I can't find anything amiss beyond the hard shutdown records from the crashes. The only other things that may be of consequence are that Some time ago I had a CPU die on me, thus why I replaced, but it didn't seem to be related, and I also upgraded the graphics card around 6 months ago, but that didn't seem to directly relate to the crashing problem.
