I'm beginning a rebuild on my current ivy bridge system and upgrading to haswell, the only thing I am keeping from my original build is my Antec 300 case, HHD and XFX 650 power supply. The rest of the components I'm putting in my brothers system. Money wise I'm spending between $600 - $800, but I would always want a spare few dollars in my pocket. I do mostly gaming, mostly Arma 2, 3. As for overclocking i do a bit here and there. Any ideas thoughts would be sweet :)

cpu: Intel i5-4570
memory: G Skill Sniper 8gb (2x4gb) 1600mhz
gpu: Xfx Radeon HD 7950 Double Dispersion
mobo: Gigabyte Z87 - D3HP

Cheers

You realise that this won't be an upgrade? As far as gaming is concerned, there is basically zero improvement going from Ivybridge to Haswell.

Personally I think your money would be much better off spent elsewhere than changing your motherboard and processor. A better GPU than the 7950 would be the first place I would look. Also an SSD if you don't have one already.

Edit: Ahh sorry, you are donating the left-overs to your brother? I skimmed over that bit. That's good brother-ing :) Ignore me!
If you are buying a Z87...

If you are buying a Z87 chipset which is specifically designed for overclocking, you need to buy the 4670K processor as it's the only properly overclockable Haswell chip. Add a Coolermasted Hyper 212 Evo cooler to that. If you aren;t overclocking drop the motherboard dowsn to an H77 chipset motherboard.
