Hy!
I have problem with Windows 7 that started 2 weeks ago.
Sometimes windows freeze right after login, and sometimes after few hours, even on idle.
When that happens, mouse and keyboard froze too, and hdd light blink for few seconds and then stop. I have to turn off power supply and restart. PSU is new (Silverstone 700w), tested on my friend's system without problems.
I can play all games without problem for hours.
Sometimes I get message: Nvidia windows kernel mode driver stopped responding and has successfully recovered.
Windows and all drivers are up to date.
I read 116 BCcode is for GPU, but how can I play games for hours?

Bsod I get:

This one is easy: 0x116 is VIDEO_TDR_TIMEOUT. Essentially, the GPU display driver is crashing, restarting, then crashing when attempting to come back up again (which takes 5-10 seconds, hence the freezing). The "Display driver has stopped responding and has recovered" is simply stating the driver crashed, but managed to come back again.

So one of two things is going on here:

1: The current driver you are using isn't playing nice. It does happen, so either move up or down one driver version. If the problem persists across stable drivers, its probably number 2 below...

2: The GPU is failing, and needs to be replaced.

Crash on older drivers, installed new one (same as before).
I have take out all components and blow some air if there's dust in MB's connectors, and connect everything. I thought maybe it's hdd or ram so I run wd hdd extended test for 1.5 hours, and windows memory diag without errors.
Also I have tried 5 or 6 restarts to see if windows will froze at startup, but it didn't.
Even Mozilla didn't freeze my pc like before :p I have disabled hardware acceleration on mozilla so maybe that helped. Now need to play some games 1-2h, and see if it's OK.

And one more question.
After I did all of this, my MB logo when I start pc drop from 3 seconds to about 1 second. I have this mb for over a year and have installed windows maybe 3-4 times, but logo duration never changed.
What can be the reason for this?
