Hi guys
Like i write in the title.
Will this power supply be able to power the Intel i7 4770K CPU on a ASUS HERO VI Board with a ASUS GTX 780 video card?

Solution
I would suggest a new PSU. Nvidia recommends a psu with atleast 42a on the 12v rail the vx550w has 41a. It may run but you would have no room for overclocking.
I'm no expert, but I' pretty sure it won't be enough power for those components. You'll need a better PSU.

EDIT: Okay I checked some sites. Looks like it wouldn't be enough since you're really playing it close to the chest. Might want to check for something better like a Corsair TX650.

would 850W be overkill?

Im looking at Corsair TX850, and maybe:
XFX ProSeries P1-850X-XXB9
Thermaltake SMART M850W
Sea Sonic M12II-850Bronze

Any input on which might be better?

i would :), and will probably go for a 650-700 W.
I was just checking out features of the Asus Hero board, and saw that it could do auto OC, which would make it a lot easier for me as a noob in the OC field. Will 650-700W still be enough? I will only be using one Video card.
