Hello! Some of you may find this question stupid.

Yesterday, I bought a XFX 7850 from Fry's Electronics (like Best Buy). I noticed that it came in a different box from other XFX 7850s:

On the top of the card, it just says, "XFX HD 7800 Series":

And I noticed on the front facing side of the graphics card, the XFX logo is not in the middle, but rather the side closest to the HDMI port:

Did I get some kind of reference card?

Lol Thanks! :)

Possibly. That does not match the 7850 core editions. + it should say 7850 not 7800 and logo in the middle. Still you are probably fine. Could be a botched up cooler job. Then again the ones on the internet say 'Ghost' edition

Yep, I already peeled the plastic film off. And that is not a scratch, it's just the reflection, the top is reflective.

I think he meant a reference card replaced with a xfx knock off after cooler. Check pictures online. coolers dont match in design.

Ok, haha. This is my first graphics card so I'm kind of picky about it. LOL

Could this be because it was one of the XFX 7850 first cards to be released possibly? Also, here's my GPU info:

Regardless of the nitpicking the only thing that matters is the PCB. As long as thats fine you have an A1 card :)

I found it guys! http://products.xfxforce.com/en-us/Graphics_Cards/AMD_Radeon%E2%84%A2_HD_7850/FX-785A-CDJC :D Thanks for the help! But before I go, I have one more question. When playing games sometimes, I get little waves going up and down the screen. It's not noticeable unless it the screen is black or you look close. Anyone have this problem? It may be my monitor but I'm not sure. Thanks! :)

I will definitely try out another monitor or cable! Thank you very much! I really appreciate it. :)

My daughter has an MSI 7850 and had this exact thing on here old VGA monitor, that is like lines riding up the screen when dark. She just added a new monitor using DVI and it is still on the old one but not the new.
