While playing games or using programs like photoshop, my Hd7870 drivers will most likely crash, white flickering then white or black screen. If not this problem, my gpu will often go to 100%, no the gpu activity or the fan! just the gpu tachometer- according to MSI afterburner.
I think this might have been caused by a dodgy overclock through MSI.
I've tried wiping the drivers and reinstalling them several times, using driver fusion. But still no luck.
People with similar problems are blaming either the gpu or the psu!

Hd7870
600w power supply
I can't remember the voltage ect..
I think i didn't touch the voltage,
Power limit at 20%
Core at 1100
Memory at 1450

This is all off the top of my head, mind you.
Someone who had OCd his 7870 (same model as me) said it worked for him, no problem

Yea, the 7870 has a huge OC headroom. 600W should be more than enough. Is is a a good PSU? you might want to get the card and PSU looked at. The fact that Driver Wiping hasnt worked indicates a hard problem. Looks like your GPU might be dying. Or the PSU is not up to scratch. Either way your GPU is not acting as it should.

I am assuming of course that you haven't changed the voltage.

The psu is nothing special, I'm getting in contact with the people I bought it from, it is still under warranty

PC specialist are replacing the 7870, as they said it is most likely the cause, hopefully this will fix the issue
