I was playing Battlefield 4 on my system when the game suddenly crashed, a DirectX Error pops out and after which i was getting artifacts when scrolling in Google Chrome.

Running it with the latest beta driver (13.11 Beta9.2). Made sure i'd a clean install (removed all files and registry signatures).

Not the first time i had such instability with the beta drivers, in my previous threads, there's been BSOD, and artifacts too.

Positive that it has nothing to do with the clock speeds since i've been running it for months and have always ran benchmark tests (Heaven 4.0, MSI Kombustor).

My CPU is running at stock speeds and turbo boost enabled. GPU is set on boost and is factory overclocked.

System:
CPU: Intel® Core™ i5-3470 Processor
(6M Cache, @ 3.6 Ghz)
GPU: SAPPHIRE HD 7970 OC 3GB GDDR5 (1000/1450 1.50v 15% BPLi)
Motherboard: Asrock B75 Pro-3m
RAM: G-Skill Value 1333Mhz 4GB x2
Storage Hardware: Hitachi 1TB & Intel 520 Series 120GB SSD
PSU: Seasonic M12ii Bronze 620w
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium

Is the issue happening all the time or only in Battlefield? Does it happen every time in that game or rarely?

Need to test the system with several drivers and also several games and benchmarks. If you get image issues all the time, set the clock speeds or the cards to lower than stock and see what happens.

Sounds like the video card is failing.

I will try to test it out on different games and benchmarks. Hear from me soon.

Here's the information i can give so far:

I've ran Batman Arkham City and Asylum on previous 13.11 beta drivers (not too sure about the number) and never had any issue, artifacts or crashes.

Happens only in Battlefield i would say.

Heaven 4.0 - No problems, no artifacts.
MSI Kombustor - Nothing either

Honestly, if i had a thousand dollars, i've 999 dollars on that it is a driver/game issue.

Similar issue to mine.
