How to setup a SSD drive for better game/System performance?

I was reading I could set up a SSD drive for better gaming performance. Is this where you make a bootable OS on a SD drive? If so.. how would I go about this and does it actually Improve system stability and function, basically, give me the 411 on the subject all together :) Thanks

It`s not 1 thing you need to do ..... it`s coplex ot HW & Software tunning
1 - good SSD - R/W speed above 300 -400 MB/s - Samsung 840 Evo will do
2 - you need SATA3 mobo - you connect the SSD to SATA3 - 6Gbit/s port
3 - you switch the BIOS - SATA mode to AHCI mode
4 - install the OS on the SSD
5 - you need atleast 8 GB RAM - in order to be able to do steps 6 safety
6 - turn off you PAGE FILE
7 - turn off you HYBERNATION - advised - you can skip if you like
8 - use some tool - f.e. SSD fresh - to make OS optimisation for SSD - turning off some bad / old features of the Windows that will shorten the life of the SSD - prefetch , indexing etc. ......
9 - put you games on second SSD or HDD ( not advised ) - also usin SATA3 - 6Gbit/s

Ofcource if you have no limit on the $ you can have Raid 0 on 2 SSD
The other CRASY way to buy Revo drive - 2 000 - 4 000 $ - it performs like x3 - x4 times faster than fastest SSD

So basically that`s it :)
