No not for gaming. If you want more memory just buy same you have 3 2GB sticks ? I have sabertooth X 58 and there did work great 6 2GB Gskill NCQ 1600MHz 3 and 1333MHz 3 all did work 1600MHz stable.

1600MHz did work over 1800MHz when I did try them alone.

Yes, the problem is my MB (ASUS P6X58D Premium) only support my current ram Corsair Dominator DDR3 C8 1600MHz 3x2GB on a tripple channel +1 stick, 8gb max.

I can buy one more 2gb stick of the same ram, used on ebay for $30 , or sell my current ram and buy a 12gb tripple channel set.

So i'm confused on what to buy:??:

With X-58 is best use 3 or 6 memory sticks. It do have 3 channel memory controller and it needs 3 or 6 to work best performance.
So 4 is not going to work with best performance

But good option is 3 4GB sticks too.
