Upgrading from GTX 680 to GTX 780

I currently have a Medion Mid - Tower PC with a Nvidia GTX 680 graphics card. If the pc supports 680 does that mean it can support a 780?

Update:
I checked by PC and the PCU Outputs 700 Watts, and the 780 should fit. How can I check which generation of PCIe the motherboard has?

The 780 requires 50 Watts more from the psu than a 680, so if your psu is over 600 watt and has been handling the 680 just fine then you should be good to go. I'm just not sure on the quality of the psu it comes with.

Yes it will be able to support a 780. That said, you should find out if the motherboard supports PCIE 3.0, or you woul dlose some of the performance from your 780.

if the card will physically fit in your case then your good. The nvidia site says the card is 10.5 inches long for the reference board, or 26.7 cm

Yes if the PSU is strong enough, the question is though at some point in time the Medion is going to run out of CPU power.
