Hi, I'm new to this community and my computer has an issue when playing high performance games. Computer will first shutdown first, then restart 5 second later. Any help is appriciated. Please excuse my poor English.

My computer specs:
HAF 920 tower
EVGA GTX 690 (1 year old)
CPU 3770k running on stock ghz
16G Corsair Vengeance (1.5 year old)
Corsair HX 750-Watt PSU (1.5 year old)
512G Samsung 840 pro SSD
P8Z77-V deluxe motherboard
Graphic Driver: Always up to date
Monitor: ASUS 27 inch monitor with 144hz refresh rate
I observed below:

Bioshock 3: Worst one, while playing, computer shutdown randomly, usually won't last more than 10 minutes, it will even shutdown when I start my computer and went to graphic settings and click on resolution button while result an instant restart.
COD10: Just got this game and played fine for the first 3 hours, then started to shutdown, restarted couple time tried Windows mode and 60hz refresh rate didn't help.
Can't remember the rest since I play way too many games :(

Shutdown won't occur when:

1.When not playing most high performance games. Played Guild Wars 2, Secret World, BF3, and Crysis 3 on max without a single shutdown.

What I have done so far but not helped:

1. Re-imaged the box.
2. Changed SSD
3. Tried run games on Windows mode.
4. Change refresh from 144hz to 60hz

What I think the issue may be:

1. PSU. Maybe 750w just not enough for EVGA 690 for high-end games and need more juice (1000w)?
2.Overheating. I doubt this, but is there a way to limit how much temp. a graphic card can go by sacriface performance so it won't overheat itself?
3. Drivers. Even more doubt this, I always keep my graphic driver up to date and having this shutdown issue for a couple of months.

Any help is appricated, I'm at work and will try any method to test tonight :)

I changed the corsair cx750 w (new) to a 600w corsair cx (new from maplin) and anti-surge issue did not come back. I have the evga gtx 670 with asus a88xm-plus mobo which was triggering power surge protection go f1 etc. (Asus pointed to psu) Left bios surge protection on auto. I did try removing the gtx 670 with the cx750w still in but the issue was still there. Having said that, i put in my spare Radeon R7 250 card which plays top end games no probs. If you have a spare graphics card, try it. Issue persists, change 750w.
