I been messing around on team fortress and I just cant seem to get into pc gaming. I wanted to try it more before i bought a gaming pc.

is it just me. also everybody is saying console gaming is dieing. Console have like 500k people on cod. When pc got like 20k or somewhere around there? Should I just save my money and buy a ps4?

Solution
I would stick to console(mostly since you only play fps) but ultimately its up to you. I feel as though you can't really half ass getting a pc(hope i'm not offending anyone) It kind of takes a little more enthusiasm. Some people buy pc's to get the best gaming experience, high specs and bragging rights. If you like the way a console handles, i think you should stick with it.It sounds like you're forcing yourself into something that is kind of a hobby in its self, not really a true alternative.

Your're happy with what you have now, would higher fps and better graphics be worth a few hundred dollars more to you?

It all depends. PC's offer things consoles cannot.

-open source games
-better graphics
-having a computer and a game system in one
-being able to upgrade
-more options for everything basically
-WAY larger library of games
-free online play

This is the Age Old question, PC or Console. The solution would come best if you can answer, where have you done the most gaming in the last 5-10yrs? PC or Console? and Stick with that. I have been played mainly on console (but also have a long history of pc gaming CIV#1, Starcraft, Quake, Wolfenstein). Just recently, i put together a pc for future gaming, and was shocked ant the initial cash one needs to put up just to be 2-3yr comfortable gaming. If you got the cash PC (real rewarding experience). IF you don't plenty of variety with the consoles.

Best Luck

Honestly I prefer it over a controller for most games. You have WAY (like 5x more) controls. I tried to play skyrim with the controller the other day and I simply CANNOT do it.

By the sound of this, seems to be you've had no expirience in a PC gaming environment. I just find friends that do play and ask them to let you 2hrs at a game. (Also some game allow you to have a game pad aka Joystick to play)

Also, what gaming are you into? First person shooters (FPS), Real time Strategy (RTS), Action (like GTA IV)?

I'm into call of duty /battlefield .Any fps game really. I used to be really big on mmos. like skyrim ETC. Im not really big into racing games. some sports games but thats what ill have a console for...

I just been playing team fortress on my labtop. i just cant seem to get used to moving around for hours /for when i get into gaming. My mouse sucks ass i have no gaming keypad. Thats why i can rarely aim im guessing.

Im just so lost. its either a 400$ console or a 600-700$ pc

I found gaming on a keyboard some what difficult and it wasn't until I found this game pad that I started to enjoy gaming with the Pc.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823114015R

This game pad has 15 keys that are totally programmable and by resting your hand on the palm rest you can access all 15 keys without moving your hand. It also has other buttons and a directional pad on the side that's programmable. Once set up this is what I consider to be the best option for gaming. If you are the type that likes to type messages during the game then you'll have to have a keyboard within reach also.
For a mouse you want to get one that has an adjustable DPI so that you can adjust the mouse pointer to your ability to move it and aim.

Razor makes some of the best mice and this is a good one that has the adjustable DPI and other buttons and settings that you can tailor to your liking.

I think if you saw bf4 running on pc on ultra settings at 100fps+... Well after you had your nerdgasm you'd definitely would want a gaming rig lol.
I'm going to drop almost four grand for mine in January ( I agree with the gentleman above me that one shouldn't half ass it ) and I'll love it! I miss it a lot especially when I see games like dayZ ( huge reason I'm going back to pc gaming! ) that open world makes skyrim or gtaV look pidly small lol!
Either way unless your a sports gaming fanatic I think pc gaming is always the best route especially for FPS's.

4k is a TON of money for a gaming computer. For half that you can easily max any game.
