my nvidia 8500gt fan does not run

I have an issue .my NVidia 8500gt 512mb fan does not run when it is seated.so it becomes very hot when I try to run it. But yesterday my pc does not boot up with my card seated in computer shows vertical green lines and then blue screen appears and window restarts.
Please help me....Probably my card does not seats well....its lose.....

Firstly, I'd say make sure the card is properly seated and that the heat-sink and fan assembly are firmly attached to the GPU.

For how long have you been having this problem withh the fan?

Can you spin the fan with your finger?

Does it feel 'tight', like there is friction?

Is the fan electrically connected to a power source?

Is the graphics card still under guarantee?

its now been a month.
fan has no kind of friction in it. I have already tried to put oil in it.
Yes the fan is connected to the power source on the card.
Sorry it is out of guarantee. Can u give me soln?
