Hi everyone,

I have an old Dell Dimension 9150 with 2 180GB hard drives in RAID 0 which was running fine until i restarted it about an hour ago to update it and now it won't boot.

It goes through the boot process up to the 'Intel Matrix Storage Manager' where I get an error message saying 'No bootable partition found'

I have tried opening it up and reseating the cables connected to the hard drives but it still doesnt work.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

Thanks,
James

Okay, well if it wont even go that far then trying to un Ubuntu may be a good idea. I know there are ways to get the information out and I think there is even a way to get the files out using Ubuntu.

it doesnt get as far as attempting to boot windows or giving me an option for safe mode unless I have missed something (which is very likely) and no, I don't have any of the disks that came with the PC.

I was thinking that i may have to boot another OS like Ubuntu on a pen drive and see if that gets me anywhere but if there is any way that I could save all the files, programs and the Windows installation then I would really like to know.

Thanks again,
James
