Hey TH, I'm coming to you with a problem that's affected my computer for some time now, but only recently have I had the free time to do it. I have a custom built gaming build(specs below) that runs absolutely fine, but to turn it on, I press the power button and everything turns on, fans, HDD, CPU, etc. but my monitor still displays "no signal". I have to turn it off and on again, repeating this usually 3 times before it actually displays anything on the screen, it also makes different noises when it is starting up correctly, and the lights on my USB keyboard turn on. Last night I tried removing my video card and then putting it back in, which allowed my computer to start up on the first try! But, after I had turned it off again to see if the problem was truly fixed, it would still not turn on on the first press of the power button. I did the same with my RAM and got the exact same results. What can I do TH? All help is appreciated.

Specs:
Visiontek Radeon HD 5670
AMD Phenom II X3 710 2.6 GHz
2x Corsair 4GB DDR3 PC10666 1333MHz
Gigavyte M68MT-S2P Rev. 3.0
Seagate ST31500541AS 1.5TB 5900rpm

It couldn't be that, I've had this build for almost 3 years now and it just started doing this out of the blue some time ago

Then try to take all out and assemble it out of the case
- as Sora advised
- some times the mobo is shorten by the case pinch`s misplaced on assembly or the mobo is twisted for some reason in the case

Also when you do that inspect you mobo for blown or inflated capacitors

I can't believe someone calling themselves an expert didn't think of that first. Faulty... Goodness all it needed was a CMOS clear or the optimized defaults which CMOS clear would have done anyway.

Shame on you sir.

Why did I post first... Well that would be because I have a job. You know, the place you go to work to get money that DOESN'T come from mummy and daddy?

The fact you are trying to blame the person you're trying to help for your own rookie mistake is just plain funny. Child.

I have the exact problem as the cherrysloth, however clearing the cmos and doing the optimized defaults at the bios didn't fix the problem. I do not have a spare psu to test however.
