Specs, Asus Sabertooth 990fx with amd-8350, gskill F3-12800CL9Q-16GBZL, 850watt powersupply. Ok so I just completed this build and attempt to start it up but the led indicating a memory error lights up and the monitor fails to turn on. I hit the mem ok button and that doesnt help either. According to the mobo manual the RAM should be compatible. Also I bought this RAM after 2 sticks of corsair vengeance did the same thing (they were not compatible) Please help. Update: I flashed the bios, reset the CMOS, switched out graphics cards, added a mobo speaker (1 long beep, 2 short beeps), and checked the CPU pins

Well, It's most likely going to either be a power supply problem or a memory issue. Although, I would go for it being a RAM problem and not a power supply problem. I would check the gold connectors that go into the slot and make sure they don't have any chips or cracks in them. If that doesn't work your parts may have got static discharge. But I doubt it as long as they are still in the heat spreader. All I can think of at the moment is that the RAM is either damaged or for some reason doesn't like your motherboard. I would ask for a exchange for the RAM if they don't exchange ask for your money back and go for another seller.
