Computer powered off while playing Borderlands 2, nothing in logs

Hiya,

Over the weekend I had a LAN with some friends, been playing borderlands 2 for hours, then it just shut down mid-game. Computer rebooted itself and I carried on playing for more hours than previous, without it cutting out.

Now I've been playing borderlands tonight for around 3 hour and it did the same thing. Shutdown and reboot, with nothing in the logs...

Please help.

I would check for temperature related issues by using something like coretemp and running the prime95 torture test. Also, since it is easy to do and useful information check your memory with memtest86 free from HERE.

Thanks for the reply, I tested the temperature and memory all seems fine. I think I found out what the problem was.

I have a Logitech G19 keyboard, borderlands 2 has a nice graphical display for the little screen. If I turn this off it doesn't crash, so I assume it something to do with RAM. I currently have 12GB, I thought this would be enough for games and the display, guess not.

I don't have an issue with other games like Battlefield 4, Skyrim, Crysis 2, 3.
