can i use 8GB (2x4GB) Corsair DDR3 Vengeance Red Low Profile, PC3-14900 (1866), Non-ECC, CAS 9-10-9-27, XMP, 1.5V

with Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P Motherboard Rev 5.0 AMD Socket AM3+

the question is does this motherboard support ram speeds of 1866mhz

Not specficialy no, but the Memory Controller is on your cpu not the motherboard, so what CPU do you have?

The mobos BIOS only supports up to 1333 (760 G NB)

It is worth adding that the RAM will still work OK at the slower speed, even if it doesn't reach it's full potential. The AMD chips typically don't fully utilize high end RAM in any case.

Also will have to manually set the sticks up and give thought to money spent on what can't be used to full potential
