Hi, i have the following specs as of now:

Motherboard: ASRock FM2something..
CPU : AMD A8 5600k @ 4ghz
RAM : Corsair 4gb DDR3 @ 1600mhz
GPU: Had a nvidia 9800gtx+ for about 5 years , now somehow broke or something and my pc wont start up with it, (ran fine before) and i'm using now the integrated CPU , gpu as backup.

I'm planning on upgrading my current system to a GTX 660 (MSI TwinfrozrIII or ASUS DirectCUII both OC versions) or to a more few bucks expensive ATI R9 270x. But the question here is which one would go along better with my CPU, nvidia or ati, would it bottleneck somehow, like microstuttering during the gameplay?

Please help i need to choose fast before the month ends so i might get the bonus games for Nvidia or ATi.

P.S: I have 600watt power supply with only one 1x 6pin adapter and i noticed GTX 660 had only 1 x 6 pin connector required and R9 270x needed 2x 6 pin. Would it affect the performance due to the lack of 1x 6pin for R9 270x?

My previous 9800gtx+ had required 2 of them also but i used molex adaptor and idk if its better that way or not.

My budget is limited to ~ 250$ (willing to spend only on GPU) so what would be your advice for me to do? Best bang/buck and no bottleneck or something. Please help thanks

@ Wolfshadw I cannot buy anything else rather than what i have! My only budget is about 250$ for a new GPU... not even a single penny more. And i'm not using the discrete GPU! while i'm using dedicated one. It automatically turns off when i'm using dedicated so it runs like a normal CPU..

So in the end what would be the best to choose between those two cards taking in consideration, price, power usage, performance. Maybe there is an in-between card that would also work, please post it here. So to resume the GTX 660 uses less power and comes bundled with Assassin's Creed 4 and Splinter Cell Blacklist while R9 270x comes only at a slightly higher price and some performance increase. Would it be better to go with Ati since i use AMD CPU or can i choose nvidia also?
