I was originally planning on getting an h100i, but decided the very small possibility of a leak is not worth it to me, so now I am trying to decide between the nh-u14s and the d14. I've read some reviews and all of them say that the u14s cools better, but a lot of people in forums say the d14 is better so I am kind of confused.. So which one is better? If I was to get the u14s I would get an extra fan.

Yes, the D14 has the second radiator and fan which may become useful should extreme heat become an issue, and the u14S would weigh about 300 hundred grams less putting less stress on the motherboard.
Either will handle most systems with ease. Just make sure you have a case that can take the coolers as they are pretty tall.
I selected the U12S because my case is a bit smaller. I don't think you would be disappointed with either choice.

I am looking at the u14s which is just above the d14 in the review you posted, so I guess that settles it, I'll go for the u14s.

Ah, I accidentally looked at the idle not the load. Hmm, guess I should go for the D14 then. I will have to take off the heatsink off the trident x RAM though, do you think that will be a problem?
