A day after getting my new cpu (i5-3570k) my monitor does not get a signal from my gpu but does from my mobo vga connector. thinking it was a faulty cpu i exchanged it for a new one and got the same problem a day after i installed it. ( it work fine in that day. i play multiple different games to test it out and had no problems until i turned on my computer the next day)

What mobo do you have? Look in bios and make sure that your onboard video is disabled or look for a way to change display from "auto" to PCI-e.

also check that the eight pin power and gpu power plugs are on tight and the card is locked in and the fans are moving on it. check the mb see if there any bios updates for it.
