Hi, I'm currently running my 770's in SLI with an I5 2500k overclocked to 4.2mhz. I chose my PSU before i knew i would get another 770, but as the PSU is SLI ready i assumed there wouldn't be any problems.

However the "internet" is suggesting that i get a 850w PSU. Is this actually the case? I haven't had any issues with overclocking, or crashing. I've played games for dozens of hours.

My CPU uses around 75w under gaming load, and the 770's use anywhere from 190w-215w under gaming load.

Is the Seasonic X series x650 gold enough? or do i have to upgrade?

From what i can tell you are fine. I wouldn't go overclocking the 770's, but the seasonic seems to be able to handle the 770's just fine.
Yet another reason why quality psu is a worthwhile investment :)

In theory it should be enough for your system configuration. It should even be enough even if you were to overclock the graphics cards.

I would go no less than a quality 750w for 2 770's.

I decided to order the Seasonic X Series 1050w for plenty headroom for anything i'll need. I'll use the x650 as a great PSU for a second build in the future.

I realize that the x650 would "get the job done", but it would do so with questionable head room, and too much strain than i want to worry about. Thanks for being right guys, but i'll just go ahead and get the 1050 so i can really push overclocks, and add another couple case fans. ( already have 6)
