Help me chose a 7970, or other. And is coil whine still an issue?

So for various reasons, i decided to sell my sli gtx660's. I'm planning to stick to single card and start shrinking my pc into a smaller form factor, but still want high performance. The gpu's were the first thing to get the chop. So im looking at a powerful single card, in Australia so no links to newegg please. I have the following cards on the table at the moment:
Sapphire SA-7970-3GD5-OC-V2 3GB 7970 OC with Boost 1000/5800 Mhz $319
Powercolor 7970 OC $319 + postage
XFX 7970 Double dissipation $319 + postage
And also Powercolor 280x for $349 + postage, but i don't thing its worth the extra over the other cards.
$350 is my absolute limit, preferably less. Doesnt have to be an AMD card, but must have 3gb vram +. The sapphire is at the top at the moment but its a clearance item and there are only a couple left in my state so i must be quick. I'm also not fussed if it's better to wait for any more price cuts to flow down into Australia. Cheers.

Solution
i would imagin it would be very simmular as its based of the exact same board / chip as a 7970.

i would save a little longer and wait for a 290X as it's a whole new GPU and they have done away with the bridge connectors and made huge improvements when it comes to crossfire and microstuttering.

as for places to buy check MSY.com.au or umart.com.au as they often have the best pricing and store locations.
