My Lexmark Z700-P700 printer was working with my Windows 7 PC up until last week - now I can't get it to work, despite uninstalling it and reinstalling it multiple times. Any suggestions?

"but rather a driver/compatibility issue that is new between the printer and Windows 7"

So what's new then? Whatever it was can't have changed itself. Have you updated the printer driver to a new version perhaps?

If yes, roll the driver back to the previous version in "Devices & Printers".
Don't ever update any driver if the existing one is working okay.

Is it making all of the usual printing noises yet spewing out just blank pages? If yes, that indicates a severe ink blockage in the printer nozzles. After a few days of non-use, some inkjet printers suffer from blocked nozzles as the old ink turns from liquid to paste as it dries out.

No - the print jobs aren't even showing up in the print queue - so I don't think it's the printer itself but rather a driver/compatibility issue that is new between the printer and Windows 7.

But thanks for taking the time to reply.
