Hello fellow tech enthusiasts,

I have put together a christmas build for a new gaming PC. Now, what I need you guys to tell me is what parts I should switch out or what I can go cheaper on. My build is great but a tad bit expensive. The parts are as follows:

Err....don't use an OEM copy of Windows 7 please. If your motherboard dies and you use that key, which ties to the motherboard ONLY, then you're stuffed. You can find an OEM copy of Windows 8.1 64bit for about $5 less. OEM copies of Windows 8.1 grants system builders an unlimited use license which allows you to keep receiving updates after a major upgrade or a complete overhaul. Other than that, you should be fine.

Then get a regular copy of Windows 7. And he is right, don't buy the OEM version.

Also, forgot to mention. If your looking for a quiet PC, I'm pretty sure that GPU isn't the best for you.
