Researching my first build, do I need an optical drive for each HDD?

As I said, I'm trying to figure out what I need to know to make my first computer so this is probably a dumb question but I need to know how many optical drives I'm going to need.

It's going to be a gaming computer but I don't know if I need an optical drive for each hard disk drive I have (planning on getting 2 for RAID 1)
other than that I only plan on using it to install OS and drivers and playing any games I happen to have on disk. Would I need 3 for all that or just 1?

I'm planning on getting this for the moment but may very easily change (open to suggestions for this as I don't know as much about optical drives as I probably should)

Any help or advice is much appreciated!

You only need one drive for the entire system, regular CDROM/burner drives are starting to disappear like the 3 inch floppy drives. If I were to buy a new drive it would be a Blu-ray burner, but really I don't find myself using optical drives at all. The drive you're looking at looks fine but you can probably find ones cheaper.
