Hello I am thinking of building my own PC for gaming and was wondering if you guys could help me out? :D
Purpose: Gaming
Budget 1400$-1480$
I was thinking of maybe a r9 290x? and an i7
(Willing to go a little over budget)

Solution
want to overclock?
want to add a second gpu?

r9 290 has almost the same performance as r9 290x
a cheaper 850w power supply would be plenty, like bronze.
if you dont intent to add a second gpu, ~550w psu is plenty

First of all for just gaming you don't need a i7. And secondly I know it's a bit over but having that 780TI will give you currently unmatchable performance (In 1440P and 1080P the 780TI is better and quieter than the 290X, plus the 780TI will SLI better than the 290X Crossfires.)
